DAY NINE
Gary very tired today. WBC still.1, HCT up to 29.7, platelets low and needed two bags of platelets today. He started to get a sore throat and slight fever last night. Still has low fever and sore throat today. Back on ativan for nausea which usually hits around 1:00 pm but it works great…..currently enjoying a slice of pizza…..Amy

Hey, Better days are yet to come don’t worry. We’ve been busy trying to get everything done before vaca. It finally is here, we will be leaving at midnight. I’m already exhausted. Wish we could come by and see you. We’ll sure be thinking of you and having a few Hooter’s wings on the beach. Wish you could be here to stir up a few chocolate martinis. I bet your counting the days til they spring ya. I’ll call you from the beach to check on you, so, you better keep up the good work. We love you and will be thinking of you. Rene

Hi Gary, I met you at Melanie graduation and was one of her instructors at Durham Tech. I have been following your blog and have been so touched by the humor you’ve displayed through this ordeal. You are in my family’s thoughts and prayers. Keep up the great work!!!!
